ZIMS (Zilina Intelligent Manufacturing System) connects university knowledge potential to the practical development of advanced intelligent manufacturing systems for industrial companies.

The main activities of the Department ZIMS follow the objectives of the European strategy 'Horizon 2020'. We systematically build a creative environment and high technology, which will support research, development and innovation. We work closely with universities and industry, which has a positive impact on employment of highly qualified human resources.

We cooperate with businesses to solve their problems, we are co-workers in international and development projects and we prepare students for their performance in practice.

Department cooperates with domestic but also foreign universities. Under the project "College students to practice" students can contact us to solve bachelor or master's thesis. Also, they can help us to solve the development problems.

We collaborate with students and researchers in particular:

  • innovation process in the fields (augmented reality and 3D visualization, industrial engineering,
  • programming and development of software applications and PLC programming)
  • product innovation,
  • subsequent implementation of marketing - marketing and business.
